Following the release of Dust: An Elysian Tail, creator Dean Dodrill spent a very long time porting it to many new consoles and devices. Between 2012 and 2015, the game came out on Steam, PS4, and even iOS. As a follow-up, Dean wanted to do something completely different. Something in 3D, in a new engine, with a completely different art style and vibe. He wanted do make something with procedural environments, that you could play endlessly. Together we hit upon the idea of an arcade game inspired by 1998's Metal Gear Solid, and hit the ground running.

Never Stop Sneakin' is the first game I've done with complete and utter freedom on the writing side. Dean imposed no restrictions on the insanity, and the result is one of my favorite comedy scripts to date. Tons of little Metal Gear references dot the landscape, but we also worked to send up anything we could. Our oft-repeated mantra was that we wanted to be the Hot Shots: Part Deux to Metal Gear Solid's Rambo. Considering our game begins with a supervillain traveling through time to kidnap all the U.S. presidents (yes, even the bad ones), I'd say we achieved that goal.
